Memory Pillows

"I love you a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck."

My Gram used to always sing and say that to us growing up so I knew that the phrase was just right to embroider onto the pillows I made when she passed away. You see, near the end of her life she needed some help in the wardrobe department as the nursing home laundry could be hard on her clothes and as she grew older, she changed sizes. So many of our family members pitched in to keep items in my Gram's closet, taking care to think of her preferences in colors, patterns, and styles.

I think I made 6 or so pillows out of my grandmother's shirts to send out to our family and many of them even had patches on their pillows from shirts they remember buying for her.

I'm sure our family isn't the only one who would be touched by such a memento so please reach out to me if I can help honor your loved one with the creation of a memory pillow as well.
